How to Use the Grill

  1. For the charcoal grill, add the appropriate amount of charcoal to the charcoal tray and light it using a lighter or electric starter. Allow the charcoal to heat up until it turns white before adding food to the grill.
  2. For the gas grill, make sure the propane tank is connected and the grill is turned on. Adjust the heat settings as needed using the temperature control knobs.
  3. To use both grills at the same time, light the charcoal first and let it heat up before turning on the gas grill. Make sure to adjust the heat settings on both grills as needed to achieve the desired cooking temperature.
  4. When grilling, use long-handled tongs or a spatula to flip the food to avoid burning yourself. Be sure to cook food to the appropriate internal temperature to ensure it is safe to eat.
  5. After using the grill, allow it to cool down completely before cleaning it. For the charcoal grill, dispose of the ash in a safe and appropriate manner. For the gas grill, turn off the gas and clean the grates and surfaces with a grill brush and soapy water.

Swimming Pool Safety

  5. No glass in the pool area.
  6. Be mindful of the hot floor during the summer months in the desert.

Nice little place

Nice little place to stay when coming to Vegas, about 20 min from strip, local grocery stores and restaurants. Patio amenities made for excellent evening bbqs.

A Hidden Gem!

A hidden gem! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. Just a 10-15 minute drive to the strip for the action, it was close enough but also was very peaceful and serene, with a great view of the mountains and strip skyline.

Lake Mead & Las Vegas Water

Discover Lake Mead, a man-made reservoir nestled in the Mojave Desert, offering diverse recreational activities such as boating, fishing, swimming, and hiking. With over 800 miles of shoreline, it's a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. The lake also features marinas, campgrounds, and picnic areas. The surrounding area has trails and scenic viewpoints to explore the rugged beauty of the Mojave Desert.

Lake Mead is home to a diverse array of plants and animals, including both terrestrial and aquatic species. On the surrounding land, visitors may spot desert animals like coyotes, bobcats, and bighorn sheep, as well as a variety of reptiles and birds. The lake itself is home to over 80 species of fish, including largemouth bass, striped bass, and rainbow trout.

In addition to fish, Lake Mead is also home to a variety of aquatic invertebrates, including snails, clams, and shrimp. The lake's shoreline is home to a range of plant species, including mesquite, creosote bush, and various cactus species. In the water, visitors may spot aquatic plants such as pondweed and tule.

Lake Mead, which provides water to the city of Las Vegas, is currently at its lowest level in decades, and the city is exploring alternative water sources, such as reclaimed water and desalination, to help meet its needs in the future. The situation in Las Vegas is a reminder of the importance of responsible water use and the need to conserve resources for future generations.

Safety Tips

Las Vegas Lights
  • Avoid unlicensed taxis: Stick to licensed taxis or ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft. Unlicensed taxis may overcharge you or take you on a longer route.

  • Watch your belongings: Keep an eye on your belongings, especially in crowded areas like casinos and nightclubs.

  • Be careful with street performers: Street performers are common in Las Vegas, but some may try to pressure you into giving them money for a picture. If you do want to give money, make sure to only give what you feel comfortable with.

  • Use credit cards instead of cash: Credit cards offer better fraud protection than cash, so try to use your credit card for purchases whenever possible.

Scams in Sin City

Here are some common scams in Las Vegas to watch out for:

  • The "free" show: If someone offers you free tickets to a show, it's likely a scam. They'll lead you to a location where they'll either make you sit through a long sales pitch or charge you a ridiculous amount of money for "taxes and fees."

  • The "helpful" stranger: If a friendly stranger offers to take a photo of you and your group, be careful. They might take off with your camera or phone, leaving you with no memories of your trip (except the memory of being scammed).

  • The "winning" ticket: If someone approaches you with a winning ticket they can't cash in, it's probably a fake. They'll offer to sell it to you for a discounted price, but you'll soon realize it's not worth the paper it's printed on.

  • The "VIP" experience: If someone offers you a VIP experience at a club or restaurant, be cautious. They'll take your money and leave you waiting in line with everyone else.

  • The "famous" celebrity: If you're approached by someone claiming to be a celebrity, it's most likely a scam. They'll ask for money or try to get you to buy something from them, and you'll end up feeling foolish for believing them.
